Once
we have confirmed availability, a deposit of 20% of the rental price, or the
full rental price, if within 6 weeks of arrival, is required within 5 days. The
balance of the rental must be received 6 weeks before your holiday commences.
Prices
are fully inclusive of heating, electricity and bedding.
Our
weeks run from Saturday to Saturday and we usually let for a full week.
Short
breaks can be arranged out of season and at short notice during the high season

Things
to note before you book
The
cottage is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am
on the day of departure. (Departure time for Short Breaks will be agreed)
Pets
are allowed on the understanding that no sign of the pet is evident in the
cottage or garden at the time of departure.
You will
need to bring bed/food bowls etc for your pet.
If
you have a baby/toddler you will need to bring a travel cot and bedding
plus all necessary equipment.
Smoking
is not allowed in the cottage.
Please
note the stairs are quite steep and so elderly guests and those with small
children may want to discuss the suitability with us prior to booking.
All
bed linen is provided and all beds will be made up before your arrival.
For
a 2 week stay the cleaner will come in on the middle weekend (Saturday morning
at approx 10am) and change the bed linen and clean the cottage.
Towels can
be supplied at an additional cost of £5 per set (one hand and one bath towel).
Please request number of sets required when you book.
Following
receipt of your deposit, you will be sent confirmation of your reservation.
The contract of hire, and liability for the full rental, becomes
effective on dispatch of this confirmation.
The
balance of the rental must be received six weeks before your holiday
commences, otherwise the booking may be deemed as cancelled.
In
the event of cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of your
holiday your deposit will not be refunded unless the property is
re-let for the same period.
Should cancellation take place less than 6 weeks before the
start of the holiday the rental is payable in full.
It is therefore recommended that you take out holiday
insurance.

takes you from Threlkeld, past Tewitt Tarn, to Low and
then High Rigg. There is a lovely farm tea-shop half way around
and then you return alongside the river in the valley bottom |
